Why are all Wines not Vegan?

The Wine Making Process

Wines go through a filtering process before bottling. The filtering mechanism may contain animal products.

Many wineries argue that the best and most natural way of fining wine is to use egg whites. This is a practice favoured by most top quality Estates.

Egg whites are used to aid the removal of small sediments from wine. The egg whites are placed on top of the barrel and sink to the bottom because they are heavier than the wine. While dropping to the bottom they bring small sediment to the bottom also.

Wineries who produce vegan wines have found modern processes of filtering and fining wine without the use of animal products. We are proud to present our vegan collection which surely is worth a try?
