Delivery Guide

Due to packaging restrictions we can only deliver in the following quantities.

For the safest delivery of your purchase we have restricted our deliveries to boxes of:

1, 2, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 or 36 bottles per delivery.

This is to avoid damage to bottles in transit.

Delivery Over £150:

  • Northern Ireland FREE
  • R.O.I FREE (Delivery services to the Republic of Ireland are extremely delayed at the minute due to Brexit, they are working 2 weeks behind.)
  • UK Mainland FREE 
  • UK – Channel Islands, Highlands & Islands £12

Delivery Under £150:

  • Northern Ireland £7.95
  • R.O.I £7.95 (Delivery services to the Republic of Ireland are extremely delayed at the minute due to Brexit, they are working 2 weeks behind.)
  • UK Mainland £7.95
  • UK – Channel Islands, Highlands & Islands £19.95

The Wine Company pick and dispatch each online order from our warehouse in Lurgan, Co. Armagh.

You can browse our full range of wines and spirits online and add them to your basket. There is no minimum order when shopping with us.

A valid credit card, deliveries address and contact number will need to be provided when you place an order.

If you create an account we will store delivery address, email address and contact numbers for subsequent orders however for security reasons we do not record credit card or security details, you will need these each time you place an order.

When you place an order you will receive an initial email from us, confirming receipt of your order. As soon as your order has been picked and is ready for dispatch you will receive a second confirmation email.

The Wine Company understand how frustrating it is for orders to not co-operate with times that are convenient for you. So, if you need to deliver to a different address other than the one your card is registered to your credit card you can. Simply choose the correct option when you are at the checkout. This can be a neighbours, your workplace or friends residence. Also if the order is for a gift, send us an email – to include a personalised message in the order.

To protect our customers and The Wine Company against possible card fraud, we may require your first order to be dispatched to the registered cardholders billing address. If this is not possible please do so at your own risk.

When entering addresses please take care to provide every correct detail. We will deliver exactly how it is entered and cannot be responsible for delays or problems caused by incorrect details.

Our standard delivery operates on a 72 hour basis from the date of dispatch during the working week (Monday- Friday).

We do not deliver on weekends. We suggest allowing 3-5 working days for delivery in case of delays with the courier, in particular peak times such as Christmas, Easter and bank holidays. If your order is urgent please contact us first to get an accurate delivery date and we will do the best we can. All deliveries will require a signature.

Northern Ireland Deliveries:

Northern Ireland deliveries will be typically delivered 48 hours after dispatch during working week which excludes weekends. Eg dispatch day Monday delivery Wednesday, dispatch Thursday delivery Monday. We cannot offer next day delivery.

UK, Scotland and Republic of Ireland Deliveries:

If your order is to be delivered within any of these areas there will be additional charges compared to our Northern Ireland delivery rates as these are more costly to send. This is due to courier charges.

The Wine Company want all customers to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

If you decide that the item you have ordered is not correct or you no longer need it if you wish to return you may do so. We accept all returns within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. This is providing the product is unused, in its original packaging and contains the receipt. To avoid damage on the return the goods also need to be packed securely. If you still have the packaging you received the item in this would be ideal to return them in.

To return an unwanted item

Your order will include a return form. If you need to return an order please send it to the address below and include the form.

Whether you want a refund or exchange

When returning items please use Royal mail or a courier of your choice and request a proof of postage.

We cannot cover the cost of postage back to us. Once returned we will credit the payment method used to make the purchase within 2 working days and up to the full value of the original purchase.

(Please note that it can take longer for credit and debit cards to appear in your bank account- this depends on your banks policy and is out of our control. For exchanged items, they will be shipped within 2 days of received item.

Damaged Items

If your order or part of your order has been damaged on delivery we will need photographic evidence prior to compensation to the loss. Compensation will amount no more than the original price of the product in question and may not include the shipping cost depending on the particular set of circumstances. Any full or part refund will be at our discretion.
