Clos l’Eglise Pomerol 2011

The Clos l ‘Eglise Pomerol from the Bordeaux wine-growing region is a top class consistent Pomerol estate with 6 hectares of vineyard where only 2800 cases are produced each year.  A transition of the shade towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this cask-aged wine. If you give it some air by swivelling, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is shown in church windows at the glass edge. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from France presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, blueberry and blackberry, rounded off by gingerbread spice, bitter chocolate and vanilla. Aged in oak barrels. Grapes: 57% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon.
