Chateau Macquin Saint Georges Saint Emilion

Deep ruby red in colour, this wine has intense aromas of ripe red fruits along with spicy notes of cinnamon and pepper. The palate is full-bodied with concentrated flavours of cassis, raspberry and tobacco with a lifted acidity. Silky tannins linger on the long, persistent finish. One third of the wine was aged in 25% new French oak for one year, giving the wine a little structure and complexity without being overpowering. The remaining two thirds rested in stainless steel till blending.

To match with veal cutlets, minced veal or  lasagne Bolognese.

Grapes: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
