A dry and light white wine from the Borba – Alentejo region of Portugal.


A clear visual, citrus colour, with a greenish hue. The aroma is of tropical fruits and nuts. The flavour is smooth, balanced, showing ripe tropical fruit flavours with a fresh finish. The Alego de Borba harvest begins in the full heat of summer. They harvest in late August, during the night by machine and in the morning by hand. Upon arrival at the winery they extract the best grapes to preserve all its unique qualities. The grapes skin is immediately extracted as well, separated from the juice and pressed. After 24 hours sedimentation occurs (clear liquid is separated from sediment in the tank) preserving all the freshness and varietal characteristics of the fruit. Fermentation follows at a controlled temperature of 60ºF. After a minimum of four months, during which the wine stabilizes in stainless steel vats, the wine is filtered before the bottling (in a sterile environment through modern machinery).
